Missions Prayer

February 23, 2024 Parker J

Are you willing to risk it all for the sake of the gospel? Are you willing to surrender your skills, your gifts, and your finances and say: “God, I know that all I have has been given to me by your faithful hand, and I want to be a good steward of the resources you have provided. Give me wisdom and discernment to know where to invest strategically in your mission and multiply these resources that they may go forth and bear eternal fruit for your Kingdom. Give me faith and courage to give generously, sacrificially, and joyfully for the advance of the gospel, trusting you to supply all my needs according to your riches in glory by Jesus Christ” (Phil. 4:19).

Church, are you willing to send out laborers? Whom has the Spirit set apart for His mission? How will you equip them, encourage them, and empower them to carry it out? Will you devote yourselves to prayer and fasting, praying earnestly to the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers from among your congregation? Will you embrace the call to take the gospel where it has not yet gone and commit to pray for those who have not yet heard? Are you willing to pray this daring prayer: “Here I am, Lord! Send me! Send me as your witness to the ends of the earth to spread the praise of your glorious grace. Use me to make known the riches of your glory to those who are living in darkness. Empower me by your Holy Spirit to advance your gospel to the unreached and unengaged, wherever and to whomever you would send me, even if it should cost me my life. I am willing to risk it all for the sake of the gospel.”
