Through powerful prayer, God can heal one’s mind and transform one’s heart. It can be hard to remain in prayer and communion with the Lord when being persecuted for following Christ. Many Christians face brutal persecution in countries that oppose Christianity, and some have even faced physical attacks that have left them battered and broken. Some are targeted and forced to deny their Christian faith. Contrary to the opinion of many of their persecutors, there is no evidence of people being forced to convert to Christianity. Those converting to Christianity are being healed through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. In Hebrews 13:3 we see that we are to remember those who are under persecution and in prison and pray as if we, too, are suffering with them.
How might suffering for your faith look for you? Remember, not everyone enjoys religious freedom. Will you pray for those who are facing persecution for their faith today?
