“I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation, but as it is written, ‘Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.'” [Romans 15:20-21 ESV]
Lord Jesus, you have all authority in heaven and on earth. You have granted this authority, which was given to you by the Father (Jn. 17:2), to your Church through your Spirit and by your Word to go and make disciples of all the nations (Matt. 28:19).
Father, we cry out to you for the thousands of groups still with little to no access to the Gospel.
Lord, may we have a holy discontentment in watching these peoples perish without the hope of eternal life. Mobilize your Church to prioritize advancing the Gospel to these least-reached peoples. Give your Church the conviction, clarity, and courage to carry out her mission: to spread “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Cor. 4:4) to those who dwell in darkness. May we rally our resources, recruit our members, and labor in prayer to this end.
By your blood, you ransomed a people from every tribe and language and people and nation (Rev. 5:9). Lord, ignite your Church with a burning passion for the harvest field of unreached souls, that those who have never been told of you will see your glory, and those who have never heard the Gospel will understand, and have everlasting life. Lord Jesus, may you receive the reward of your suffering as you usher your purchased people into your Kingdom.
Amen.
